Ann has been drawing, painting and crafting since she was a child. Art came naturally to her. As a child she was self-taught, borrowing library books to learn how to draw. When Ann was 16 she began painting in oils. As an adult she continued her art education taking adult education classes while her children were growing up.
Ann worked as a graphic artist for Pacific Bell and studied fine arts in the evenings. She studied acrylics, pottery and photography at Shasta College and watercolor at Chabot College in Hayward CA. She attended watercolor workshops in Yosemite while on vacations.
Ann's paintings are in many private collections in the United States. She has had several shows in the Redding area, mainly at the North Valley Art League Gallery. Ann has also taught classes and workshops in acrylics, watercolor and rice paper collage.
"I paint mostly in a realistic style, but have occasionally played with abstract to push my creative thinking. I love to try different media and recently have been making art dolls. I love color, fabrics and papers." she states.  Ann is also a woodcarver, carving mostly Father Christmas.
